Arlington Row will feature both geothermal HVAC and solar power.

Geothermal HVAC involves underground wells placed so that the earth provides much of the source of heating and cooling.  And there's a make up boiler in the basement for the coldest Minnesota days where the earth sourced heat may not be quite enough to keep everyone comfortable.  Inside each apartment home there will be a heat exchanger instead of a furnace and air conditioner.  So there really isn't much we can show you except dramatically lower heating and cooling bills!

In addition, each site will have a 40w solar installation. This solar power will generate enough electricity to power approximately 40% of the building needs.  The solar panels will be located in the parking areas of each site, located above car port structures.

We've attached a site plan showing where the car port structures will be located, a plan showing the detail, a section showing a side view and a rendering showing an approximation of what the installation will look like.

Arlington Row will be the first project in Minnesota (that we know of) that will include both geothermal HVAC and solar power - and you can feel good that by simply living here you are reducing your carbon footprint!
